Who hates a word GOAL?
Over the years I noticed that many of us do not set & achieve goals because they don’t like a word “goal”. A person often associates it with something negative – end of road or a journey, a finale. Since I am a big believer in language, I believe that language we use directly affects how we see things, how we feel, and shapes our perceptions. Life is full of mile stones, pit stops, decision making, and many of us do not want wonder what is NEXT, after we reach a goal – “is this the end? should we come up with a new one to move forward?”.
So if you feel that this word is stopping you from getting where you want to be or who you
want to become, CHANGE it and you will SHIFT your mind and perceptions.
Call it a target, rest area, aim, marker, pit stop, purpose, celebration point, etc… I don’t care what it is as long as it is meaningful and will motivate you to get “there”.
Happy Friday!
